From Agadir to Tafedna the drive takes 2,5 – 3 hours. Take the coastal road direction Essaouira. After TAMANAR continue for about 15 km and then turn off left direction TAFEDNA PLAGE heading towards the sea.
From Marrakech to Tafedna the drive takes 3,5 – 4 hours. Drive out of Marrakech and take the motorway to Chichaoua. Then continue on the main road direction Essaouira. Before arriving in Essaouira, by the big round about, turn left direction Agadir. You will reach a further big round about leading you on to the coastal road direction Agadir. Approx. 10 km after SMIMOU look out for the sign post direction PLAGE TAFNI (Tafedna). Turn off right and drive direction sea.
The last 3-4 km (see plan below) are gravel road and you need to drive through a river. There is only little water in the river, so no problem with a normal car, no need for a 4×4.
Follow the signs to Hotel Tasgua-Yan until you reach the river. IN the river bed, just after passing the broken bridge, TURN COMPLETELY RIGHT! Drive parallel to the river up the little bumpy hill and turn left! With the ruins and a few houses to your right, continue for approx. 600 m and look out for the sign “VILLA ALJANA” on your left. Enter the wooden gate and drive up to the house. You can park behind the Villa. If you end up by the Hotel Tasgua-Yan, then you have gone 2 houses too far.
